Technical Office

Our designers carefully conceive extrusion dies using Auto-Cad and after 3D modelling software. After our programmers uses are latest Mastercam tool path technologies together with simulation software in order to guarantee perfect machining execution. Dienamex have an experienced team that have both extrusion background and production knowledge.

Sawing and Turnings

The manufacturing process starts from our automatic band saw that can easily cut H13 tool steel from 6 inches up to 22 inches. Once pieces are cut to specs they will go to our turning Cnc station where we can handle many different type of set up with our motorized vertical lathes and performed multiple different kind of operations on the diameter depending on the lifting device of our customer.
CNC Milling

With many type of milling machine both horizontal, the manufacturing of extrusion dies is done in a just in time production flow. Each part will have a unique shape, design and program to allow a quick and reliable execution with in tight tolerances. Automatic probing and tool setters technologies makes the manufacturing repeatability constant over time.

Heat Treatment
All our parts goes through a rigorous heat treatment cycle will allow H13 too steel to become at desire hardness usually in a range between 46Rc and 48Rc.
High Speed CNC Milling

To overcome heat treatment distortion all our parts will be re-machine in their critical functional features. Perfect parallelism and mirror surface finish are the desired standards of our extrusion dies.
Wire and Spark Erosion

Dimensional precision is reached with our state of the art erosion department. Thanks to a variety of machines both wire and spark sinkers the bearings or the extrusion dies take shape using electrical erosion technology. Multiple skim cut or erosion cycles are used to reach a low surface roughness on the surfaces that will eventually give shape to the aluminum extrusion.

Polishing and Quality Control

Manual polishing is applied by our most experience personnel on finish parts to reach smooth surfaces and to verify the presence of possible manufacturing imperfections. At the same time a rigorous quality control during the die assembly is performed analysing squareness and pin out of each extrusion die to make sure it is fit to go to directly on an extrusion press once is delivered to our customer.
